School Days...School Days...Dear Old Golden Rule Days...

What a big week for us! I went back to work and Diego started school! Monday was a VERY sad day for me, but at the same time the best for all of us. X and I both dropped him off and then raced back before 5 pm to pick him up. He did AWESOME! Of course, X called the school to check on him and I called twice ! He was sleeping when we dropped him off, so we gently laid him in his crib (which is decorated with pictures of our family), wiped our tears away and left him to his new teachers and school mates. I cried and talked to X all the way to work and cried a little when I got there. I was ok by lunch, but missing Diego like crazy!

Each day since he has been dropped off with a big smile and picked up the same way....so I know he is getting good care and lots of attention from this teachers. They love how he dresses, especially his shoes, and always say "Oh boy, Diego is going to be spoiled here...the other kids will be jealous!"

He is in a class with 7 other children, 2 who are even younger than he is! He does art on Mondays and was chosen as 'Artist of the Week'; I was SO PROUD! He also reads books everyday, has tummy time, plays with bubbles, has a developmental lesson plan and is starting sign language.

On Tuesday, Diego went to school in his St Patrick's day green onesie and celebrated the day by making a shamrock hat!

We weren't able to make a flight to El Paso, TX last weekend. We were bummed that we were not able to spend time with X's family, especially Grandma Lizzie, and cousins Julian and Alexandra. We hope the flights look better this weekend and can travel!

Love to everyone and thanks for checking in on us !
